Mykola Tomenko: It is Extremely Dangerous for Ukraine that the Fashion on "Life without Beer is not Life" prevails over the Active Way of Living

On Friday Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine together with the First Deputy Chairman of the Zakarpatska regional Council Andrii Serbailo met with the pupils and teaching stuff of the boarding school in Berehove town of Zakarpatskii region.

M. Tomenko briefed on his legislative initiatives and repeatedly made the point that it is necessary to propagandize the healthy way of living and fight for the health protection. "Unfortunately, the fashion on "life without beer is not a life" prevails over the active way of living. It is extremely dangerous that Ukraine actively loses the young generation as according to the medical specialists it does not correspond health standards", he emphasised.

The Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is disturbed by the fact that during this year the children recreational programs for children and pupils are not being fulfilled and public sport and physical training are in decline. "It is necessary to develop the strategy of the state regarding this issue. The authorities are not supposed to ponder al the time over how to attract UEFA management regarding the preparation for the football championship "Euro-2012" though they should think over how to protect and preserve health of children and prepare fit and healthy young generation."

M. Tomenko called the pupils to active physical training and sport and presented the sport and tourist equipment for the boarding school.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Zakarpattia regional Council Andrii Serbailo promised that until 1 September of the current year the majority of boarding schools in Zakarpattia region would receive sport and tourist equipment.
